			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After two Montreal bagel bakeries were talking trash about New York City bagels, <a href="http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/01/montreals-bagels-square-off-against-new-yorks/">City Room</a> sent reporter to Montreal to taste their bagels and compare the two cities&#8217; bagels.  The result?  Opinions on which one is the best vary, with most tasters choosing their hometown.</p>
<p>The two varieties are certainly different.  Montreal&#8217;s bagels are sweater, thinner, and still baked in a wood-burning oven.</p>

<p>New York City&#8217;s bagels are saltier and larger.</p>

<p>Both sides declared the other city&#8217;s bagels &#8220;shouldn&#8217;t even be called a bagel.&#8221;</p>

<p>For the first year ever the parade bypassed Broadway.  While native New Yorkers and visitors watched the Spiderman float glide by, American astronauts dined on space turkey, and American soldiers received phone calls of thanks from President Barack Obama.</p>

<p>Hajela interviews spectators at the parade.  Even those who are unemployed and suffering relate to Hajela how thankful they feel.</p>

<p>Originally from Hiroshima, Japan while working at  <a href="http://www.annisarestaurant.com/">Annisa Restaurant</a> in Manhattan&#8217;s West Village Okochi was selected to compete on the Food Network&#8217;s <em>Iron Chef America. </em></p>
<p>She has now found her home at Brooklyn&#8217;s <a href="http://www.goodfork.com/">the Good Fork</a>, where their produce comes from <a href="http://www.added-value.org/">Added Value</a> farm, a farm right next to the Good Fork.</p>
